Resistance of Memory
I find no solace in the past
it was not as I now perceive
time in slivers, clear as glass
I find no solace in the past
A cheap illusion cannot last
a moment cannot be retrieved
I find no solace in the past
it was not as I now perceive

“Born in 1978, work at a college. I’ve had a lifelong battle with OCD which has given me an interest in how the mind works. I’m an aspiring sci-fi author, but dabble in poetry as an extra challenge. One or two of the poems I’ve written while on the WF have made their way into my novels … perhaps this one will as well?”
