sometimes
love
is a sandwich
a cool bottle of water
a quiet dappled space
listen
poP
SNAP
hissSSss
fountain?
of life?
listen
i’m sorry
that umbrella
never was for you
that promise
was all guise
all lure
up
up the ragged
rugged
mountain
charging cliff stiff with belief
to be staff dash throne thrown
thru ash
reign beaus
unto the sand
miles below
listen
sometimes
love
is a hand offered
a face that glows
like sun glint ocean
that knows rushes, all air, deafening
and true gravity
and grit
sometimes
About the author
Percy Anton reads everything from cereal boxes to academic research. Exploring ideas in somewhat unconventional ways, this author embraces the challenges inherent to short form writing and invites each reader to spend a few moments with imaginings that tend to linger.
